The initiative of forming such an ensemble specialising in the performance of Early Music came from a few orchestra individials during our summer break in 2024. After several longer meetings and rehearsals during this break, the ensemble gave its first concert in July 2024. The main objective of the ensemble is to perform early repertoire as faithfully as possible to the approach, manner and style of the musical era in which a work was originally conceived.

The ensemble’s repertoire includes compositions of the Baroque composers, such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Michael Praetorius, Henry Purcell, Jean-Philippe Rameau and Jean-Baptiste Lully. In the future, the ensemble plans to expand its repertoire to include other composers, especially from the Renaissance and Early Classical periods.
