Conductor / Choirmaster

BARTOSZ J. MAZUR

He graduated with honours from the State Music School in Jastrzębie-Zdrój in the clarinet class of Piotr Śmietana (2021). During his education he was a member of Youth Wind Orchestra and Clarinet Quintet, which was awarded many prizes in national (Warsaw, Szczecin, Piotrków Trybunalski, Krosno, Żywiec, Wrocław, Cieszyn) and international (Belgium) competitions. Mazur has taken part in many masterclasses under the guidance of prominent clarinet and chamber music pedagogues such as Florent Heau, Igor Františák, Mirosław Pokrzywiński, Roman Widaszek, and Tomasz Żymła.

He graduated from musicology studies at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków with a thesis The musical culture of Jastrzębie-Zdrój in the years 2004–2024 with a particular emphasis on the activities of local wind orchestras (2024). During his studies, he developed his interests in organology, ethnomusicology, French and Russian music, score editing and the musical culture of his home region.

In 2023, he began studying symphonic and opera conducting with Prof. Szymon Bywalec at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. During his education he took part in conducting workshops with the NUSO Orchestra from Kharkiv. He is the conductor-in-chief and artistic director of Amisarte Symphony Orchestra since May 2023.

Apart from conducting, Mazur also developes his skills in composition, arranging and choirmastery under the guidance of such pedagogues as Iwona Bańska (choral conducting), Maciej Bartczak (voice emission), and Roman Czura (composition). He improves his vocal skills by cooperating as a member of the Chamber Choir of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music.

Concertmaster

HANNA WIERZYCKA

She graduated from the State Music School in Żory in the violin class of Dr. Marcin Hałat (2024). She made her debut as a soloist in 2023 with Młoda Filharmonia Międzyszkolna under the direction of Maciej Cisowski. During her education, she has gained considerable orchestral experience as a member of Żory Chamber Orchestra, Młoda Filharmonia Międzyszkolna and Youth Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Michał Gajda. With the latter, she had the opportunity to perfom many times on the stage of the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR), alongside the Carrantuohill band, Krzesimir Dębski and many artists from Poland and abroad. She is the concertmaster of Amisarte Symphony Orchestra since May 2023.

In 2024, she began her studies in composition with Prof. Marcel Chyrzyński at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków. She gained her first achievements as a composer while winning the first prize at the ‘Śląski Festiwal Kreatywności Muzycznej’ in Gliwice, as well as premiering her own works as their performer or conductor.

She develops not only in the direction of classical music, but also jazz. She participated in the ‘International Summer Jazz Academy’ (Krakow 2022, 2023) in the violin class of Karol Dobrowolski.

Chairman / Head of the Wind Instruments Section

RAFAŁ JAWORSKI

He graduated from the State Music School in Żory in the flute class of Barbara Śrubarz (2024). During his education he participated in many masterclasses improving his instrumental skills under the guidance of prominent flutists such as Łukasz Zimnik, Wiesław Suruło, Ewelina Zawiślak, Gaspar Hoyos, Aldo Baerten, and Gareth McLearnon. He is the winner of the 3rd prize at the First National Competition of Ignacy Jan Paderewski in Poznań in the Musicologist category (2021).

In 2024 he began his studies in flute performance at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. He gained and improved his orchestral experience under the direction of Filip Huget, Robert Kabara, Michał Gajda and Maciej Cisowski, joining the ranks of such orchestras as the Arthur International Music Festival, Żory Chamber Orchestra, Młoda Filharmonia Międzyszkolna and many others. He is the Head of the Wind Instruments Section of Amisarte Symphony Orchestra since May 2023, in February 2024 he was elected as a Chairman of the Amisarte Association.

A special place in his heart has always been held by the Early Music. He develops his passion under the guidance of outstanding Prof. Magdalena Pilch, improving his skills on the baroque flute.
